Lunchtime in the Victoria Hotel, Beeston. 1 pint of Castle Rock Harvest Pale and 1 pint of Holdens Black Country Bitter. Bliss. Working nextdoor has it's perks.
A bottle of Guinness Foreign Extra, at 7.5 %, followed by a Stringers Dry Stout from Ulverston. Both very nice. The Guinness was the real McCoy, brewed in Ireland.
Theakston's Old Peculier. Luvly jubbly
A bottle of Pride Of Oxford (not impressed, no wonder it was reduced at Booths !), a bottle of Daleside Brewery "Old Leg Over" (excellent), finished off with a Guinness Foreign Extra.
Timothy Taylor's Landlord and a bottle of Roaring Meg - both on offer at Morrisons. Roaring Meg was a new one for me - decent.
