Even I'm getting jealous and I never race, and I'm a tremendously anti social runner for good measure.I must be crazy but I am mad jeleous I am not doing it
Have fun and keep safe folks.
Nikalas, my doggy language skills are a little rusty. But I think the hound is trying to say "stop standing about, it's bloody freezing"
I think I'll be wearing my woolley buff and my hurdy gurdy hat for this one
Its not the snow (there will be a good hundred or two runners in front of me nicely creating a running trod) but the wind, which could be super cuttingly in halfly.... with icy knobs on. (That reminds me - my extra warm helly pants will be going into action too).
Based on this morning... I'd seriously consider ski goggles or some form of eye protection... heading into the wind, the spindrift was super painful on my eyeballs.
Is it entry on day, for this one?![]()
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Please car-share or use the train, we anticipate some difficulties with parking. There is some hard standing available to us but this is limited.
Please get in touch with club mates and consider parking in nearby villages and sharing one car for the final leg. There is good parking in Hope and Castleton.
I looked in to coach hire to bus people in from castleton but it is just possible to arrange..
Hmmm, sounds like it'll be hard work to get to Edale this weekend. Do any locals know if the Hope Valley ever closes with snow? Thinking about getting the train.
