There's plenty of good campsites just outside of Rosthwaite nice and close to the finish and better still the beer tent!![]()
Cheers Calf and Hopey. Will check that out. We usually stay at Braithwaite, but it's had a bit of a tendency to be noisy recently. It is near the Coledale Inn though, which is a big plus point. I

If you head towards Honister from the start of the race, there's a campsite on the left about half a mile and then another half a mile further.

This is the link 'Notonurnelly' posted earlier in the thread for Chapel House Farm, I've not been there myself.

If it's no good there is a site I've used in Buttermere which I really liked (Syke Farm I think it was called).
I stayed at Chapel House last week, it's ok, good spot, you'll run past it on the race, it's next to the church, where I believe Bob Graham is buried.
There's a couple of sites at Seathwaite as well.
i may yet camp then
emmi were are you stopping , same as this lot
I think we should do a naked reccee
...for a change
You're were too quick! are you permanently logged into this thread? There
are just some things I couldn't leave on the post...Didn't want to start
another fashion trend.
I had visions of Pete Bland being overrun with orders for golfing socks. I
believe Tetley's profits have soared since the Trans Fan T-cosy photo. Tea's
the new Real Ale apparently!

I may as well put everything back in there now...like... to get that true
borrowdale experience a certain DS opted to wade through the stream at
Rosthwaite at the weekend.. Of course it wasn't a reccie no no no! couldn't possibly be... I think she'd spotted a rare moss orchid or something.
