Hi Daz, 62 points for me please for Chunal (winner 25:53, me 35:46). My 58 points for James's Thorn must have been suppressed by the increased competition (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it).

Further events for me this month are Rainow 5, May Queen, Mount Famine, Lantern Pike Dash, Shining Tor, Bollington Festival 3 Peaks, Vanessa Chappell and Camel-Teign Ivor's Dream LDWA 100 (that last one's a definite).

Thanks DTS. Yes, I am pleased to have returned to some decent form.

Mrs Noel was quick to point out that Jack is recovering from some broken toes. But that's probably false modesty - she's going well too.

    Hi, Daz.
Schoolboy error near end of Coiners added over 2 minutes to time & about 10 places - curses!!
Still not a bad score though - winner 54.38 & me 1.08.32, giving 75 points so far for May!
Note to self - always worth a recce of the finish, especially when it goes through the woods...!!
Thanks again for the sterling job!

    Re: Forum Champs

Got a 68 for a race I did last night...unfortunately it wasn't a fell race and the ascent was a grand total of 39'. Godammit, these flat races are hard and fast!
Anyway, I'll try harder and do a fell race next Wednesday eve but am not confident of a good score as it will be on the back of a recce of the full BGR route this weekend (over 3 days):w00t:

I did the Three Peaks in April but my score was lower than my previous April score so I'm sticking with that.

A huuuuge 42 for me for the 61 mile humdinger the Fellsman in April but fortunately my 78 from the 6 mile blitz around the Pinchinthorpe plod (anything but a 'plod') still counts. I can safely say the scoring system favours shorties rather than longies

Stolly I think it's just the Fellsman that suffers with the scoring system because it magnifies the difference between the front runners and the majority of mere mortals who get grouped and run (or more likely have to walk) in the dark.

    Not strictly true Stolly.
Mrs Stagger always scores higher in long distance events where the winner is a good runner.
In the fra events where internationals are running it is much tougher to score points.
