some cracking post run ales at the Horseshoe Hotel, Egton Bridge with Ba-Ba, fuggles gold was exemplary, also something from Roosters, a pale ale, very nicetrundled over the stepping stones to the Postgate ( had to concentrate
), had a couple of standard Black Sheep, dissappointed in this establishment, turned into a poncy eating place
picked up a Dorothy Goodbody stout and an Oakham Citra from Booths on the way home from the Lakes.
I'm looking forward to the stout after some rave reviews on here. the Citra is excellent, I recommend picking one up at your local Booths!
Had an Odell brewing co x Thornbridge brewery Pond hopper double IPA last night 8.9% Not cheap at £15 a bottle, but rather nice.
Today's now traditional Friday lunchtime in the pub consisted of a couple of pints of Bouncing Bomber.
A triple-hopped contemporary yet classic English bitter. Celebrating 70 years since the legendary Dambuster’s daring raid. A toast to the legacy of these national heroes.
A bottle of Dorothy Goodbody followed by a meaty Old Tom (8.5%).
I had my Dorothy Goodbody last night and very good it was too. I'll be picking some more up next time I get to a Booths.
Also had a Weihenstephaner Vitus, double strength wheat lager. tasty.
indeed!
honestly it was bloody good. they have it in booths. pick one up
