Great result in the circumstances (i.e. having played badly for four days).
There was someone on the BBC site saying how this was a great advert for test cricket.
So to summarise for the non-fan:
Three test matches over 15 days, taking weeks to complete. And the result was 0-0.
Woah there! Don't forget it rained quite a lot too. We're talking some serious meteorological razzamatazz here.
I think it was Boycott on the BBC saying about it being a great advert. Ok, test cricket isn't to everyone's taste, but he's right in that a day's play like today is pretty amazing and you need the long form of the game to generate that sort of scenario.
I missed all the excitement in the cricket today with doing the CWR. I didn't really expect that result either. Great bowling display by Stuart Broad apparently and I will have to catch up with the highlights later.
Century for Rooty  The two Yorkies have stopped the English rot and are now raining on the Kiwi's parade.![]()
The summariser on the wireless captured all the key points. Root scored his maiden test century on a saturday on his home ground, in the first innings, in front of 12 thousand yorkshire fans. Key moment in English test history? Let's hope so - he looks pretty good at the moment.
