Ah, no I meant that he wasn't eating cake at the time, something more fundamental!

Knowing how delicate the sensibilities are of people on this here forum, I used "eating cake" as a euphemism.
I hope he has been forgiven the bad timing of his visit to the pool. Although an inconvenient time to avail himself of the conveniences, it's better that than having an explosive event somewhere around Jerusalem Farm.

The incoming runner made his displeasure very clear! Were both of the out going runners "eating cake" and if not where was his "number two" so to speak?

Number two was on the line whilst number one was having a number two.
I was actually concerned for Dave's welfare when I heard the incoming runner voicing his displeasure. I thought he might be best barricading himself in the netty.

After three years of trying, Sale Harriers took first team. The whole team had a few jars tonight to celebrate.
Excellent event as always Halifax Harriers.

Terrific effort from Sale. I believe won in a slightly better time than Wharfedale last year. A long way clear.

I was one of the incoming runners 'looking for Dave' at the end of leg 3. Dave is in no danger, he's a class runner and probably made up more time than he lost. Our team finished 2nd and the time lost didn't make any difference to the result. A little bit stressful at the time though obviously. Im glad the other teams found it entertaining.

Could have been a lot different if we had caught you up. We were about 4 minutes behind at the start of leg 5 but caught up quite a bit, as did the leg 6 guys who got within a minute of you.
