In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3] The noun troll may also refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted."

Well, it's that time of the year again. Clubs need to be thinking about getting their teams and entries together. This year is something of a milestone: the 30th anniversary race. Once again we are offering up £1,800 worth of bonus prizes for teams that break the course record/target time and for those pairs that manage to beat the record/target time for their individual leg.
We're not out of January yet and already the race is half full and this year one or two teams have stated an intent to win the prize pot(s). This is, of course, something we welcome. Can the new pretenders steal the mighty Bingley crown?
Details are up on the Halifax Harriers website. Please, everyone note the new kit requirements...full waterproof cover. We really do not want to DQ teams as we did last year. We look forward to seeing you all amongst the splendid hills of Calderdale.

Now less than 40 team places left lovely people. Come and forget about message board squabbles and have a smashing day out running as a team.

Update: only 20 team spaces left. They are filling up fast this year so to avoid missing the 30th Anniversary running and the chance to grab a share of £1,800 of bonus prizes, get your entries in sharpish.

Does anyone know of downloadable Garmin maps for the relay? I'm working with the 'logistics' side of the Meltham team, and am the nominated 'extra' runner for any last minute drop out so need to learn and recce all legs...despite popular opinion I can read a map, but I got a new toy for Christmas and want to play with it...I've tried searching the Garmin site, but to be honest I don't understand the search engine...never seems to work for me.

I will try to find out for you.

14 team spaces left. When they're gone, they're gone.

The South Pennines One, Outdoor Leisure 21 is the one I use in this area.
