I ran it yesterday, 1st time since 2007 .Its a cracking course, I had to watch it in the tussocks and slippery limestone sections, as I am still recovering from a sprained ankleHope the young girl who bust her ankle is ok, saw the mountain rescue vehicle making its way to herOriginally Posted by Brad Foot
She posted on facebook last night that she has badly damaged ligaments. Easily done because she is an experienced fell runner. Good to see so many people stopping to help and a well marshalled race meant that they weren't far away.
Went for the road shoes in the end only to watch in dismay as the rain began at the start line and was duly rewarded by completing most of of the second grassy decent on my backside! Very enjoyable nevertheless and great to see so many people there!

What a great low level fell race - almost all of it runnable on grass. And a nice village market with multiple sources of cakes/scones/tea, and a jazz band. Thanks to the RO/marshals.
Another lovely run in the Yorkshire Dales, really starting to like running in that part of the world! Well done to organisers & marshals alike who were very friendly & encouraging throughout the course!
The official figures for the race are 8.1 miles and 1197 ft; my 610 measured it at 7.86 miles and 981 ft.
The route change could account for the 0.3? Not sure about the elevation though
It goes up Norber yeah and then comes back, via Crummack Dale, following the lane? Something like that anyway. I love the grassy running on the Norber ridgeline and often go that way up and down Ingleborough
