They are certainly the perfect shoe for a BG. Good luck with it.

Alan, would you say the 265 fit is comparable to the 272? I've got wierd-shaped feet and the 272s fit perfectly, but the 333s didn't. I have a few pairs of 272s stashed away, but might be persuaded to buy a pair of 265s if I thought the fit was the same.

I suspect the 272s are the same sort of fit. The last mud claws I bought were 330s, they look to be of a similar design to the 272s. If anything I find the fit slightly better with the 265s, and in terms of running comport, a lot better.

Right, cheers. I might drop in to PBs next time I'm in the vicinity and see how they feel.

Mudclaw 333 must be the most narrow fell shoe that Inov-8 have offered. They're certainly the snuggest of the pairs I've had (Mudroc 270, original orange/grey Mudclaw 330, Mudclaw 270, Mudclaw 272). I've not tried the yellow 300 or the 265 :closed:

I think I had a set of the orange/grey mudclaws. For the first three months they killed my right heel with blisters and put me off inov8's for yonks (almost forever). That said I did eventually get a bit of wear out of them.....

    Re: Inov-8 Mudclaw 265

Has anyone got a feel yet for how well the uppers of 265s last compared to 300s? I was happy with the longevity of both pairs of 270 I had, but the uppers of my 272s have disintegrated in no time, with the soles still looking nearly new. I imagine I'd be happy wearing both 265s & 300s, but I could do with getting better value from them than I've had from 272s. Have you got both Stolly?

The 265 turned out to be My all time favorite! I was really surprised to se how well they handle all sort of conditions, from mud to flat road..
