    Re: Vegan Welsh 3000s

and another big thank you to all the marshalls / organisers. Some of you must have been freezing in that wind all day.

Cracking day out, even sort of enjoyed the Carneddau section where I blew up spectacularly on the long drag up from Ogwen. I think the other Will in the race Will Jones must have caught me for 25 mins up there and my companion for the last couple of hours on the Glyders, Simon was 2 hours quicker over the Carneddau section.

Splatcher. Good call on the Kendal Mint. Last 10 miles or so it was the only solid I could get down. Think I probably saw you out on the route. I was through Nant Peris in about 6th place so you may well have come past me on the Glyders somewhere.

Still aching a bit but already over that "Never again" stage and looking forward to next year.

Oh and thanks to Ed and Brendan for the lift back to the start

Thanks everyone. We're glad you enjoyed yourselves. That was me, marshaling at Llyn y Cwn, and at the Ty Gwyn pub at the end (with the soppy border collie).
See you again next year, hopefully.

    Tell your friends!

Er...that would be this one. "Great" is probably overstating it... but at least I don't look in too much distress.

Compared to me you look great and certainly less distressed. I'm about 10 photos from the end in the purple Berghaus jacket. Any pictures from the Carneddau would have been even worse than that one.

Unfortunately I can't take credit for the photos.
I was going to take my camera with me up the hill. In retrospect I could have filmed some cool footage of everyone zig-zagging down Y Garn. However, I was aghast at the weight of my rucksack, and when I saw my camera still lying in my car boot, I just thought 'nah'.
