No problem with the distance. Check out Hawkswick Fingers on Walk jog run. http://www.walkjogrun.net/ Not quite 6k. It's about 1200 foot climb though with a steep last descent. If you didn't run last year good idea to arrive early and recce. Last year U16's was a separate race over same route. Good fell shoe with decent grip if you want to stay on your feet in the wet. Not speaking for a club, just me and my family, but wanted to add my thanks to the organisers and volunteers. Great day out.
Even though my kids can't descend as well as most others, they still enjoyed it. (I think more practice is required.)
