Half a dozen outings in June, a bit slow to get going and then totally humbled at Buckden Pike. Things picked up in the last week or so with good runs at Kinder Trog and Chrome Hill, 84 pts at both

I've got a score for July at the Carlton Midsummer Meander. Cameron Taylor won it in 33.17 and I staggered in at 48.36 (and then collapsed under a bush ). 54 points please.

I will try harder at the next race when hopefully the heat won't sap me so much!

Trying to run faster than those pesky midges at Cragg Vale must have had some effect, as got round in a very respectable 34.26, compared to CVFR Joe Washington's maiden victory time of 29.46. By my reckoning, this is nose-bleed territory - 84 points!!
Rob Jebb turning up at the Langdale Gala on Sunday kyboshed any hopes of improving on that, but shouldn't be greedy!
Next up, the small matter of Holme Moss this Sunday - currently praying for cloud & some breeze, but fear it will be unanswered!

geronimo - special dispensation for May if you get result in quick, plus June of course - still plenty of scope as only best 6 months count

    Livi - fire away!

All - just a reminder that it's best 6 months to count, so now we have hit July some scores will be "shelved" - they will be the ones in brackets...

    Thanks Daz
Having now calculated my 2 hot days of Lakeland Mountains perhaps the 4 points I get for coming 18 / 32 (winning time for class = 4:59:10 our time 9:45:06) are perhaps a little embarrassing
BUT we had a fabulous time earning our 4 points and I've proved my feet work again

100 points for the White Peak Walk please Daz! No need for the calculator this time. It was a bit hot, & runners & walkers were going down like flies.
