    Cook out. 23-1

What are people's predictions? I'll go 3-1 to England.

I'll go 3-0 England. I just can't see the Aussie batsmen standing up enough to our bowlers on home turf to take a win, and although they've got a reasonable bowling attack our batsmen should have enough to ensure us decent scores to defend. Chuck in some dodgy weather for a couple of draws.

He sounds like an interior designer with that name though he's not a bad batsman for a number 11

And Alistair Cook is a pretty good scalp for his first test wicket.

Umpire Dar definitely on our side. Stevie Wonder could have seen that Broad was out
Didn't mind Broad not walking, especially against Australia

Broad should have walked, nevermind waiting for the umpire. He knew he nicked it.
I just hope this hasnt ruined the spirit of the series, as it has been compelling so far.

Mate, we're playing Australia for the Ashes, not the next village for bragging rights in the Dog and Duck :closed:

Sadly no one walks these days, at least at international level, and only Gilchrist did so in recent memory. "It's not cricket" when describing dodgy behaviour no longer applies. Can't say I criticise batsmen too much though especially as bowlers and fielders make the most ridiculous and, yes, dishonest appeals nowadays when they know damn well the batsman wasn't out. Bowls may be th eonly really honest game left
