Glad to get around really. Hydration was a real problem even though fluid was plentiful Then the rain came on for the last section and a half, though this wasn't a real problem. All in all a great event as per last year. Congratulations to everyone who ran and/or completed and especially anyone doing the 100 those guys have my utmost admiration it seems to be pure will power driving some of them!! Next year?...we'll see, better preparation...possibly! Oh! and well done Sunderland Stroller for a brilliant turn out too!...very cheerful and chatty bunch they are!!
Well Done all, Stroller's are a top mob. Over the moon for me young marra Bother and another young marra, Naked Rambler who cracked the 100. More knackered following it this year and blisters on me fingers from tapping the IPad!

It was good to see you Iain and I'm really glad that you made it ok (and in good time). Lots of people suffering on the L100 & 50 because of the heat. I think I was lucky as I was expecting to conk out after the loop of Dalemain...it was like the savannah! I really enjoyed the event overall and had a second and third wind after periods of flagging I just can't imagine how anyone does the 100, total admiration for all, whether they completed or not. Lovely to catch up with plenty of forumites and I apologise to Adrian Leigh for talking too much on our run in to Coniston, I was on a bit of a high

Big Up to Stuart Mills for his win.

He recently blogged that he can't hope to compete with the elite now that he's turned 50.
As a recent 50 something I found that a bit dispiriting.
    Looks like he was wrong.

    Well done Millsy.

What a brilliant brilliant event. Loved every minute of it...... apart from the hours of agony that is . I didn't pick a good day to try out my brand spanking new Hokas and absolutely smashed my feet to bits, finally having to call it a day at Maredale at the 75 mile point.

The run of the event has to be the winning female Lizzie Wraith who smashed the female record finishing in 24:15!!!

@Hes. Aye! It was nice to chat for a couple of minutes. I didn't exactly recover, just kept going really!! Had one decent leg into Ambleside and the rest was hard work with cramps, blisters and fluctuating energy levels. Brilliant run by you in the end but I'm sure there's more in the tank for you. @Stolly. Hard luck on your effort. Seems like it just wasn't your day. Utmost admiration for anyone that starts the 100 let alone gets to Mardale and beyond!! No idea how they do it! @Steve. You'll enjoy the L50 after completing the 100. I kept thinking I saw you kicking about the place but was never sure. where you at Coniston, or was it mistaken identity! I've only got your avatar here to go off!!
