    Re: Tonight's Real Ale

Friday had me drinking some rather badly kept real ale in a bloody chain pub that is shit at keeping beer, out with friends though so I had to visit, stupidly I always think it will be alright but it never is, should have played save with Guiness in hindsight.
Yesterday was a different matter, after watching hartlepool lose again, drowned my sorrows in the rat race ale house, cracking pub ( room ) , enjoyed many Gundog Brewery - American Cocker- what a pint that is  also dabbled with a few pints of Yorkshire IPA or something like that, from a brewery in Northallerton
Today im going to the opening of a friends new venture, Dr Phils ale house in Mboro, and im assured he has some cracking ales on, namely Trufitt - Erimus, one of my favs and Mordue IPA a belter of a drink aswell as others, its turning into a long weekend

Ha, I'm a Leeds fan, so know all about suffering.

A heads up. Wainwright ale, £1.25 at Morrisons Guiseley ! Also picked up the last couple of bottles of the superb Doom Bar ! That'll teach the wife to send me shopping on a Sunday.

A Scarlet Fever by The Wild Beer Co in Friends of Ham, Leeds. Followed by 2 fine Ilkley Blacks. Then 2 halves of the best beer I have ever tasted. The Mayan Chocolate Chipotle Stout, from Ilkley, at 6.5 %. A stunning drop.

    Re: Tonight's Real Ale

Had a busy weekend with lots of different ales thrown in. Supping a few from the Tirril brewery whilst in Patterdale on Friday, trooper ale was decent, not so fussed on the white lion ale.
Had some Snecklifter on Saturday, not really my dab. Got back to Hartlepool in time for a couple of Windermere pale ales ( ironically enough ) at the Rat Race Ale House, one of my favorite beers.
Was in Newcastle yesterday and was supping some outstanding Ale at a few cracking venues. The Nothumbrian Blonde from the great Mordue brewery was particularly outstanding, as always. Also tried a couple of Buxton Gold, very decent but inferior in taste to the Northumbrian Blonde.
Whilst visiting the magnificent Tyneside Cinema I purchased a couple of Wylam, Loco no1's. Mighty fine brew, described as a lagered beer, similar in type to continental Beers. Outstanding drop 10/10 if you like light coloured beers  btw the film was fantastic too, Wadjda
