Just discussed it with the wife and phoned my cousin and am definately doing it now!! Not sure how though...I did promise to walk around it with 'the wife'. Might see how I feel on the day.....
fjell_guy - see you for the striking of the anvil again then!
having not really enjoyed it very much last year, I am determined to take it nice 'n' easy early on and not get hung up on a specific schedule
[although I will be carrying a 14:29 schedule which I may sneak a look at every now and then ]
I'm doing this again for the 3rd time. Last year was horribly hot, but it looks like the weather may be cooler this year.
I really hope so as I have unfinished business with it! Would like to improve on last years 13.36
I'm very excited and raring to go!
That'd be a great time Caz! 14.29mwould be lovely too Daz! As I said in my post I might be looking to assist Karen in beating her 20 hrs something og last year, though neither of us are as fit as then. I'm sure you'll do 14.29 Daz as your fitter than I was two years ago and I think I did around that then, but as you say...chill, don't think too much at see what you've got left near the end after Cumberland Cottage. Its the night time route finding (plus affects of fatigue affecting said route finding!!)that kills your time more than fitness/speed I find....:sneaky:
Change for me this year, doing the YORM which I have never done before. shame they all clash (need more weekends and less week days)
fjell_guy - 15:23 mate http://www.cs.man.ac.uk/temples-bin/...&submit=Search
so I won't be too disappointed with 15:22
seriously though, I'm thinking the key for me is not to go mad on the big hills/warm valleys early on, then after Peak Forest, as things get cooler, push out what I've got left...
Ha! Daz I did wonder after I posted! Still, I'm sure you have sub 14.30 or whatever it was you are after!!Looks like I'm going around with Karen this year as that's what I've promised. So sub 20 hrs will be awesome for us. Weather looks ok, and possibly improving, a bit of rain will be ok though. See you there matey!
there's live tracking for anyone that's interested: http://www.bullocksmithy.com/live/index.php
just seems to show if they've passed a CP, rather than times, but good to watch progress
