There was a lady from DarkPeak who was in front of me before Jacobs Ladder but then she did an odd 'shortcut' and ended up just behind at Grindslow Knoll but when I descended from Ringing Roger she was coming up so I think she did the 'down and up'. She finished 4 minutes behind me so I'd say it was slower but flipping good effort on her part!
Thanks, have "stolen" the one of me - hopefully that's ok - have credited you as taking photo.
I actually don't look too bad at Mam Tor. A shame that about a mile further on, I died and went backwards rather rapidly. Too warm for me unfortunately - was quite badly dehydrated by the end - could barely run down RR to finish. Collapsed after finishing and laid down - apparently for nearly 45mins (as my clubmate had finished by the time I moved).
Thanks to the guys who helped me - was starting to get really cold after lying down and had to be helped to put my kit on. Was fine about 10-15mins later after getting something to eat.
Thinking about giving it a crack in cooler weather in March, maybe....
That's fine Fozzy/ Richard help yourself. The worst part for me when I did it was around the Wool packs and Grindslow Knoll areas where the wet peat sucks the life out of your tired legs. Cheers Mark.
Does anyone know when there will be a confirmed date for next year?
Thanks
I'll try and find out but entries won't be until available until new year
almost certainly. there's far too many other races at the back end of the season.
I finally got to upload a few pics of this years event: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjK48Y7f
