Seems to be some confusion over the 3 hr cut off after leg 2 , anyone not making it in time are the leg 3 runners going on a mass start or are they out of the race altogether then ? I seem to have read both versions of this . Hopefully won't be an an issue but just in case !

Just to confirm and to ease concerns, leg 2 cut off will remain at 3 hours but there will be a mass start for remaining leg 3 runners at 1300 hrs, i.e. after 3 hours. So therefore all teams will have a run, which as the above comments state is only fair.

Is it time to start making bold predictions yet?

I'll start on leg 1. Young Guns shoot-out between Will Neill (Mercia), Pete Hodkinson (Erewash) and Kris Jones (Dark Peak). This is all dependant on selections and team tactics however!

I must say I do enjoy tales of front-heavy teams whose 2nd leg runners curse their leg 1 whippet!
