Great race, 10 seconds quicker than last year.
A BIG THANK YOU to race organisor and all the marshalls on the hills doing the number checks and sumitts.
Cracking event and I need to return to put a good time down.

My 1st go at this and it lived up to the hype that people said was a belter ! Really enjoyed it, I even felt good and felt I ran well. Starting to feel am getting fitter now happy days
Good race and many thanks to the RO, organisers, helpers et al. Glad I managed to get out of the field with the helping hands and I could help the red van out eventually! You knew that the field was getting bad when 4x4's were getting stuck!!!
Love this race! Brilliant organisation and fine pies once again. Many thanks BCR. I think we had as much weather in an hour as you could fit into an AL!
Many thanks to Black Combe Runners for a great day, and to the marshalls and helpers. A minute or so quicker than last year but I was feeling rough towards the end. Funny how the hail shower came at the exact same time as last year! Is it the Truman Show?!? Apologies to the lady I think I ankle tapped at the start!
My favourite race I think, though I was cursing when some young whipper snapper hurtled past me through the gate at the bottom of the last steep descent off the fell. Very welcome pies and tea in the hall after, and its not the first time i've sat in there, surrounded by sweaty half naked middle aged men, listening to the hail thundering down on the tin roof. In what other sport can we get such joys?
Looks like fatherhood and age are finally catching up with Rob Jebb, as he came second in an Addison sandwich, between Tom and Mark in 3rd. Tom Gibbs 4th, but very much second fiddle in their house tonight as Astrid Gibbs was 1st F. Ambleside Women 1st team, Helm Hill first men.
