Lister Park has 154ft climb according to my garmin when last did it back in August - just looked on garmin connect and a couple of random entries on there for Skipton show between c240 & 350ft ascent!

Going for my second attempt at Huddersfield tomorrow. Only about 80ft of ascent.

Get to the front Trev, there were 612 runners there last week!
I am off to Pennington Flash tomorrow.

Took your advice Swoop, started on the second row and got dragged along by CVFR team mate Blair Garratt, producing a nice PB of 20.39.
Still a bit more to come I think if I frame myself.

Well done Trev. Under 20 minutes soon!
I took it easy at Pennington Flash,
Up and down, stony underfoot and quite muddy in places.
Not a pb course even though GPS said 4.95km.
Might go to Dewsbury next week.

The fourth biggest parkrun in the world...ever! It was bolstered by being a 'mob run' which brought club runners from far and wide, but Hudds has seen massive turnouts all year...

As a secondary tip, start on the left and get tight to the cafe, the right hand side is uneven and you get pushed out wide on the first turn...

Sounds as flat as Aylesbury. On the OS map it doesn't cross a single contour. Can't recommend it though. Apart from being far away from most of you and pancake flat, it's also entirely on concrete and tarmac paths. But stuck down here in the Vale what else can I do? There are no fell races to run! Still, it's bringing my time down nicely - 20:04 today - 55 secs faster than anything I managed in 2 1/2 years at Bolton.
Hope it never gets as big as Huddersfield though, simply couldn't fit that many on the paths, especially on the second loop when there's lots of overtaking.

    Sounds good Latege for PB's
Hudds is big enough that I only started passing folks on the last half mile and they were all kind folks who kept to the side to let quicker runners through.
All tarmac and long straight downs and a couple of short ups. Should quicken me for the Bofra's

PS excellent time for you today, sub 20 is waiting. Well done.

Love park runs.. I do congleton and delamere parkruns. They don't get in the way of paid events in the slightest. They really help my speed work.

It's not about getting in the way of paid events, but it's a bit irritating for a club team manager when an athlete says they're not available for a club race and then turns up at Parkrun instead.
