Barlick fellrunners has just started, small club of around 20 members at the moment and Shaun ran for the first time under the name. Website hasn't been registered under google yet so if you put the address on the thread in you should be able to find it. Everything should be up and running by January 1st. Barlick is a town of about 12,000 people so a tad bigger than a hamlet. We will be organising 3 races this year as a club, weets, buckden and pendle cloughs. Barlick was chosen for the name because it comes under pendle and is also
in west craven but we didn't want to upset other clubs by having any of their names involved. We are currently looking at vest designs and these are to be voted at a meeting at the beginning of January. It's not a multi discipline club so we won't be paying affiliation to cross country and other events thus keeping membership costs down. Hope this clears it up for you all ladies and gents.

You don't need to tell me where it is Chewbaca, I was born there :thumbup: Mind you, when I lived there it was still in Yorkshire and steam trains stopped there

I think it was ady in accy that mentioned the hamlet. I was just clarifying to anyone that may not be from the area. Anyway where do you live now alf? Steam trains were a long time ago so I'm guessing you left barlick over 30 years ago?
