Thanks to whoever merged my new thread with the old one, I did do a search but for some reason it didn't come up with anything, I'll have a look back through this in a bit.

Blackrod Lad - I'm aware of it's toughness, that's why I'll be doing the 80km I haven't done nearly enough ultras yet to describe myself as an ultra runner, but I'm building up slowly adding an extra big race per year - next year I hope to do four big races between 50-80 km. Then who knows, I'm hoping to be ready for a UTMB perhaps in my 40th year (37 at the moment). But for the meantime my sights are fixed on this one...

The entry procedure has changed. A draw will take place on 4 January for those who have registered between 20 December and 3 January.

Is there a 240km+ version does anyone know? I've had a route round the website and it's not obvious (to me).

This looks good and a lot lower key than utmb.

No, there is an 80k and a 160k, and possibly for the first time next year a 120k.

I made the draw for the 80km this year. I've had a look on the inscriptions list, looks like I might be the only Brit, anyone else going? Or am I going to have to talk to French people? Nothing worse than mudering another language whilst trying to exert oneself physically.

My wife is doing the 80 and Hopey and his misses have got through but yet to pay. A lad called Gordon Stone also needs to pay and he is in the 80.

Paid up and in. At the same time as paying also landed an interview for a full-time job - now secured and start work on Monday for a well known French company! Need to get organised for training schedule (plan with Hopey(s) and Michelle?). Especially need to be organised as on top of full-time work also have 5 hours tutoring per week. Anglezarke Amble on Feb 8th will be the first step of the build up.
Any others on here? seems to be 23 listed as GB across the 3 races.
