sounds like i could do it . live near rugby , so m1 is my link . thats why ive started doing peak district / derbyshire fell runs . ( not to far to drive ) . anniversary waltz would be a bit of a treck , but wanna do it . keep me informed .
It's not that bad a trek..... we've been doing it for 11 years - from Rugby go straight up the M6 - toll road then to Penrith - turn left then not far.... can be done in 2 1/2 hours with lead boots
and if you ask us nicely we can find camping space for you at a cost!!!! proceeds to the village hall funds

There's a camp site in Braithwaite which is near to the start.

Another one interested in doing this race next April. Wouldn't mind joining up for a recce next spring with some of you chaps if its possible.
