We are on the up, building one of the best football academy's that the world of footballing facilities has ever seen, backed up with strong investment in youth players and talent development around the world, as well as the rest of the clubs infrastructure, stadium included. We have a team spine including some of the best players in the world, in the peak of their careers, all on long-term contracts (Hart 26, Kompany 27, Silva 27, Nasri 26, Aguero 25, Yaya 30). Should the squad need investment, we have an owner continuously willing to back the manager in times of need - and a revenue number growing faster than any club on the planet ready to take on Financial Fair Play any time. We have one of, if not the best executive management team in world football at the club, driving a philosophy that ensures a commitment to the fans and the club to ensure it becomes one of the most successful clubs in world football.

In the mean time your fortunes have a slightly less positive outlook, to say the least. Having already conquered the world over with your 12 billion fans there is little room to grow. Your best centre-backs are 32 and 35; your best left back is 32, and is in the final year of his contract; your best striker is 30 and seeing frequent injuries reminiscent of his old self; your only other world class out field player has been kicking up a fuss for a year about wanting to leave, with less than 2 years left on his contract; and despite spending £27.5m on a midfielder, you are still yet to rectify a problem that has been well known for many years. You are still saddled with debt, owned by people only interested in making money for themselves. You are struggling to reach the Champions League spots this year, and even if you do manage to scrape back in, your manager is still David Moyes.

    The future is blue.
Back the manager in times of need??? Ruddy Hell how can you say that???

That is without a doubt your best comment on this whole thread... Superb! Off out for the day..

Our best centre backs are in their 20's... Vidic and Rio are now second choice.. Rio 4th choice..

We have debt but service it, if they wanted to recoup they could sell and there would be many many backers... We are in a far healthier state than you.. Say the Sheik wants out... City would be a Leeds by the end of the year...

You criticise Moyes, and applaud Martinez, who has Moyes' team, so presumably he must be able to spot a decent team...

lainr, the glazers are raping our club. there is no money to spend. these yank thieves sold the worlds best player for 80m and told us that it would be placed in a special account to strengthen the squad...well where is that money? in glazers pocket, that's where.
who will come to our club next year with no champions league and no money?
fact is fergie left us with an aging team and poor players....cleverly, young, nani, Valencia and evans are not up to it. why did the greatest manager in history leave us in this mess? could it be because the American rapist wouldn't spend any money?

    Up The Dale

Apparently they played really well and deserved the win. It would be fantastic to get them in the next round tomorrow. The draw is tomorrow isn't it?

The Leeds supporters chanting " We're shit and we're sick of it!" Been there, done that, got the T Shirt! Rather them than us!

I agree with you Carlos but this United side and the man in charge of them are a f**king disgrace to those that have gone before them and offer nothing but one crushing disappointment after the other. They are frauds and cowards who are not fit to wear the shirt of manchester united or manage them.

I wonder if moyes is sat at his telly with a pen and paper watching "splash" now that the transfer window is open!

No gloating from Danbert today as they fail to beat Blackburn????
Whoops can't say much as they beat us last season

Can't complain 2-0 vs the spuds, so onwards and upwards, I'll enjoy it while it lasts, 1 game closer to the bubble bursting!!!
