Might be worth ringing The Cow & Calf pub Dino ? Or the cafe in the car park.

I left my number at the cafe, Jez. I think I have an idea where it may be (the 4 points I stopped to take photos), so off on a head torch run tonight on a 'needle in a haystack' mission. Any excuse for a night run really though, especially with the firework displays in Lower Wharfedale to watch too.

    Hi all,

Is anyone planning a recce? I'm planning a route recce tomorrow morning but have to admit my course knowledge is a little sketchy. If anyone would like to join with knowledge of the route that would be ace. Pacing wise, 3.15 road marathon but happy to go at any pace.

2 weeks to go until my second crack at his, hoping for under 3:20 this year but obviously conditions on the day play a big part.
Did most of the route yesterday and found it very wet and muddy for the first 6 or 7 miles and the first portion up the Chevin towards the end. Got a bit confused up at Whetstone gate when I couldn't see the masts (been a while since I've been up there); felt a bit eerie them not being there.

Anyway, looking forward to it again and amazing what a difference 12 months of running has made, felt strong even after finishing yesterday so hopefully on for a least a small improvement on last years effort.

Wonder if that awkward out and back at Piper's Crag will be used again this year or if it was just a cock up last time?!

Has anyone else had any luck with emailing the RS organiser?

As I am withdrawing I'm wanting to offer my entry using formal channels but am wondering how long to wait for a reply using the [email protected] email address. It's only been 5 days so far since I emailed but am conscious that the event is only 2 weeks away so it would be good to sort out a transfer asap.

    Cheers
    Martin

Thanks, found it - I'll give Mark a ring tomorrow evening if no email reply by then.

    Martin,

I'm looking for a number if you are still looking to offload yours. I've emailed the RO to ask about swaps this morning.
