That is true Rev. I did give credit on the 3 ashes wins him and his team achieved. As a country we have to realise that all sporting coaches and players have a shelf life and need to be performing at the top of their game or they out.
Far too often do we bring out the history books as to why someone should do a job not on current form and recent results.

What I was saying is he is the man who planed the tour and was in-charge of the team that produced one of the worst tourrs ever.
    He had to go.
    BUT
Players must also be sent back to their counties to get some form and picked on current (2014) form.

They appear to have Ashley Giles as the man to replace him. Giles was bloke who over saw the T20 so his current form is poor.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall in that dressing room. The team clearly don't like him, but when he's just so talented what could they do.

I remember Graham Swann saying that Pietersen's team talk when he was the one-day captain was "just fu©k1ng bowl fu©k1ng straight!" Genius!

To quote Pietersen 'It was an honour to represent my country', I didn't think he ever played for South Africa

Inevitable really wasn't it? Run in with Moores when he was captain, snidely texting the South Africans and a toxic effect generally in the dressing room. Despite top scoring (not difficult this series) he was still chucking his wicket away. Time for a change.

I remember Mickey Arthur, the then Australian coach, saying Australia had the best bowling attack in the world. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cri...shes-2013.html

I was surprised at the time, as were a lot of people. Michael Vaughan said he'd lost the plot and that the best bowling attacks were South Africa followed by England.

It seems Mr Arthur might have been on to something after all eh? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/88542

England getting back to winning ways? Jos Buttler looks a good player.
