Fair do's to Liverpool, they totally outplayed us for the first 30 minutes, then some credit to our lot for fighting back only for a stupid mistake by a player who you would expect to show a little less panic.

As they say its not over until the fat lady sings - although the Liverpool choir are warming there throats ready.

In early 2008 with frank rijkaard’s position as coach of barcelona under threat, the club’s then sporting director txiki begiristain and vice-president marc ingla were investigating possible replacements. A certain jose mourinho, out of work since his departure from chelsea the previous september, was on the shortlist. A meeting was arranged in lisbon…

“what happened was both fascinating and a definitive moment in the development of modern barcelona – as well as inter milan and real madrid.
Mourinho had prepared what ingla and begiristain remember to be a brilliant power-point demonstration. His self-belief was clearly intact; he understood intimately the challenges ahead of barça’s next coach, had deduced from a distance what was going wrong and had clear views on the best way out of the mess they were in. In normal circumstances the material, and the man, on show would have been so dazzling, so convincing that the argument would have become whether to give him the job there and then.

amazing to think that mourinho, a uefa cup, european cup, fa cup, and multiple league title winner, interviewed at barcelona, and was turned down, while moyes got a call from ferguson and turned up at ferguson's house in jeans to be told on sight that he had the united job

Here's how I'm looking at it:- two games in hand brings us within one point of liverpool and also gives us a chance to further our goal difference on Chelsea and liverpool. Chelsea still have to play liverpool (hoping for a draw ). Liverpool aew without Henderson for three games which is a big loss for them, so while I'm still gutted about yesterday it's not all doom and gloom, yes Rodgers and co are in the driving seat but many a race has been won on the last corner

Tough end of season games for Crystal Palace and Sunderland. I think Chelsea (with a bit of Mourinho guile) will not lose at Liverpool. I wouldn't put my shirt on it though

I was lucky enough to be at Anfield yesterday and took my 10 year old grandson. what an amazing match and atmosphere and nail biting finish. even though I am a Liverpool supporter I still think there are a few twists and turns ahead in the last 4 games which after all is 12 points and could change a lot. Am in Turkey for last day and one of the bars will have every game on on teles all round the bar. great atmosphere. heres hoping Gerard gets his first premier title
