they are atrocious at the moment..

Liverpool palace is a huge game as its the last proper one..

But they could face Palace sat in 3rd if chelsea and city win or too effectively win the league if city drop points.. great end to the season...

Everton fans will not be up for it like when we usually play there. You can't help but think this will run through to the players.

We will be on our game 100% concentrated. There will be a big difference in the mentality of both teams.

If we score early, it's done.
I'm not so sure. Neither Everton fans or players will want to roll over easily. Good players have their pride and fans will always back their own team ahead of dislike for another.

    Two examples:

In 1999 coming into the penultimate game with Man Utd and Arsenal neck and neck, Leeds (in fourth with no chance of finishing higher or lower) were due to meet Arsenal at Elland Road. It was a full throttle end to end game settled by a late Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink goal for Leeds. It was obvious who Leeds fans wanted to win the title but you couldn't have told from the goal celebrations. Man Utd went on to win the title by one point.

Likewise in 1995, in the last game of the season Liverpool with nothing to play for beat Blackburn 2-1 at Anfield. In this case Man Utd were unable to beat West Ham but had they done so they would have won the title.

Paddy Power have Moyesy at 3/1 to be the next Newcastle manager so things could be looking up soon

That would be a great move.. people have forgotten how superb he was at Everton.. when he took over they were perrenial relegation candidates.. now they are firmly in that second tier fighting for UEFA/CL spots every season.. Moyes did that, he stabilised the club, without him they could well be playing in the lower divisions. Getting relegated in those years was financial suicide as you missed out on so much money.

I feel for Pardew though, I think he's done a very good job.. but people wanted him to fail from the off. He must be one of the longest serving bosses in the league.

There's only 3 managers in the whole of the football league who have served more than 4 years.. he's done 4 years..

No need to feel too sorry for Pardew, he is part way through an eight year contract so when he gets sacked he can put his feet up on Caribbean beach for a while, that's once he has finished his Anger Management course

Former Dale manager and ex Morecambe player John Coleman has left Southport Alf, his touch line behaviour did not meet Southport's standards as a club wanting to attract a family audience Doesn't look like he has calmed down much. Where next for him, Tranmere?

I had to chuckle tonight watching the Champions League match.
I listened to Eamonn Holmes on Sky News this morning discussing with a couple of pundits who the next Man U manager would be.
Ancelotti might be available after tonight he intimated.

I'd also heard pundits over the weekend poo-pooing the availibity of Guardiola.

    Things may have changed tonight

    Madrid made Bayern look inept.

    After much consideration

I can now see all the top three finishing on 84 points Liverpool to draw at Palace and win their last game, Chelsea to win their last two and City to draw at Everton and win their last two.
