But we knew Rio was coming to the end of his game, so he's not a huge loss just badly handled..
Rio deserved to be told the way he was. I've never forgiven him for holding the club to ransom after they stood by him during his 9 month ban.

I'm looking forward to big Louis telling the 'Class of 92' that they are surplus to requirements sometime very soon because i am absolutely certain that he will. The last thing he needs is that bunch of Bacon-face's acolytes telling him every day 'Fergie didn't do it that way'. He'll get rid of them sharpish!

The fun is about to begin. Roll up! Roll up!
You talk like this is a bad thing....? Clearing the decks is exactly what we need.

I dont know.. it was his last big contract, any player late 20's you push for the best deal you can as thats a huge factor in the rest of your life... clubs have no loyalty anyway.. they stuck by him because he was the best center half in the league..

    I'd say it's a little farther afield that's Blue.

Right you can walk away.. have a think and come back with an intelligent remark.. :-)

Moyes took over Everton 10 years ago when they were perennial relegation candidates.. he took them to regular 5-7th spots.. with I think one 4th spots and regular low-mid 60's.. he's getting a harsh deal of people tbh..
Right I've walked away, come back and concluded my remarks were intelligent enough and that you had to resort to throwing insults around because you couldn't argue properly against them. What a pity.

You were the one that mentioned Everton's points tally over the previous 5-10 years being 60-65. Over ten years it was 57, - fact, sorry if that's inconvenient. Even over the last five years it was 59. So my point is that Martinez in achieving 72 has this season considerably overachieved for Everton while at the same time making them much more attractive to watch. In my opinion that makes him a worthy candidate for manager of the season. I'm surprised such an innocuous opinion inspires such a reaction from you.

We don't know the reasons why Utd stuck by him.... that certainly may be one. They could have docked his wages for it but continued to pay him.

However, I and many other Utd fans have never forgiven him for it.
