Daz, can I open my June account with 33 points please for Northants Ultra 35 (me 7:05:31, winner 4:14:47). I was over 40 minutes slower than I was last year, which is to be expected with the Hundred still making itself felt in the legs. A similarly poor performance is expected at Boar's Head tomorrow. Can't wait. :-)

luxinterior - orienteering events are fine:
"trial" type events can be treated in the usual manner by comparing to winner's time
"score" type events gain points on a sliding scale between the winner's points and half the winner's points - eg if the winner scored 300 and you scored 250 that would bag you 67 pts - if you scored 150 you'd get zero pts in the same way that taking double the winner's time in a normal race would get you zero.

BritNick - see you at Boar's Head - maybe I'll have a chance of beating you!?

What is it about the Bamford Sheepdog Trials Fell Race, that it takes such a long time for the results to be generated?

you were 80th in a time of 45:18
(I've got photos of the results - PM me your email if you want me to send you them)
and comparing to the winner's time of 32:23 would give you 60 points in these 'ere championships - do you want to join?

    Daz,

Sorry to be so late in the day... been busy.

    Calderdale Hike in April.

    Winner: 5.24
    Me: 9.06
    Points: 31.

I'll leave that with you mate.

Went up and looked at Leg 4 from Honister via Moses Trod again... started off in ideal weather, got to Pillar, and the clag descended good and proper... took me an embarrassingly long time to find the right way off, and that wasn't what you'd call the optimum route. Still, good clean fun.

Daz, Thanks for the information on my time and position for BST.
What does joining up for your championship entail?
I did Castleton last night in 1.00.56. Is this race in your championship?
I PM'd my email address to you, so if you could forward me photos of Bamford results, I would appreciate that.
I still don't understand why they are unable to put the results up on the Bamford site within 24 hours of the race though. Maybe they're too busy with the sheep this time of year!!!!!
