    Re: Reservoir Bogs plus!

Tom Tittiman results on this page: http://www.cvfr.co.uk/races/tom-tittiman/
and overall series results on this page: http://www.cvfr.co.uk/races/midsummer-madness/

After putting your series positions on each photo folder, it transpires that I'd missed the fact that Stuart McAleavy completed the 3 races, so he's been added to the series results, but for anyone outside the top 10 your positions on the photo folder are 1 out!
And apologies to Carole Priestley - when I announced that Robert Gregory and Les Chesterton had completed 10 series, so has Carole. Impressive stuff!

Glad everyone enjoyed it. It's been a great weekend. I'm off for a lie-down in a darkened room now.

Thanks Bill. Enjoyed the weekend. Completed Reservoir Bogs without any major nav cock-ups and quicker than last year (ha ha!!). Was quite pleased than I managed it with my fractured collar bone 'til I saw Sally Newman (also with a fractured collar bone) flying down to the finish on Sunday. Made me feel distinctly wimpish/overly cautious/sensible!!??

Much preferred Sat night's soul band at the Hare & Hounds to last year's Fleetwood Mac tribute act so well done to the landlord.

Hope to see you again next year.

    Coming up next weekend:

The perfect opportunity to indulge in a spot of condoned Fishwickery.

Bill promises a 'secret twist' on Reservoir Bogs; we expect no less.

Yes, there is a secret twist to the Reservoir Bogs route this year.

For anyone who's not done the 'Bogs before, I should point out that if you want a flagged race where you don't have to think, then its probably not the ideal race for you.
But if you are happy to decide for yourself what's the best route - shorter route over the top? longer route on the path? - and you like something that will challenge your overall fellcraft, not just pure pace, then it is a great race.

And in the company of the best 'family' of fellow fellrunners... who could want for more?

Tom Tittiman race: to avoid cows (and terrible tussocks!), the final section of the race will be re-routed.

It's a better, more runnable end.
An extra 300m in distance on a slight uphill gradient. Just 15m climb, but I reckon you'll notice it at that final stage in the race!!

    New route map on webpage:

Could be quite a week for the man himself, im fairly sure he will be at Bridestone tonight, then there is a host of races wednesday, Aggies staircase Thursday , midsummer madness and i reckon you could fit Brown Wardle or Great Hill in as well on the saturday. 7 races in 6 days.

Go on Daz you know you want to.

    Hi Dan
Unfortunately work will be curtailing my races this week, hope to be at yours though. And I'm helping out on a BG attempt for a mate this weekend.
If Bill or anybody else is doing Dan's race tonight can I leave last years midsummer V40 trophy with you to pass onto Bill....cheers.
