Just thought I'd leave a post on here to introduce myself.
I have been a pretty active road runner for a few years and recently became running coach for the boxing team at Halifax ABC. My sister has kindly introduced me to the world of fell running and it's like a breath of fresh air...metaphorically and quite literally!
I just ran my first ever fell race last week, Worsthorne Moor, it was great! I came 14th and loved every second of it, although my skinny road runners legs need building up somewhat...
I don't currently run for a team but I know there are some great ones around Halifax/Bradford area so I will be paying you a visit sometime soon (if you're reading this )
I suppose that's all I really wanted to say, oh, and this forum is great, really informative and friendly, exactly what newbies like myself need!
So if you see a fish-out-of-water wearing a Halifax boxing club t-shirt at any upcoming races, that's me, come say "hi" - it's hard being new
