Completely took my eye off the ball and assumed EOD was going to be possible as that's what i usually do with this race. However, i haven't run it for about 6 years. I suspect i;ve missed the boat this year? Anyone know it it's full?

    Ah well, serves me right...

Could anyone help me by put a map on here so I have a rough idea of the route between points please?
It's mostly on paths or easy up to CP3, after that it gets harder. Last time i did this everyone went ENE to the col below Docker Knott, not Witton's way. The contouring around the side of Simon's Seat above West Grain will give you sore ankles, ankles you'll need to get off Hazelgill Knott. Personally i'd get high on Simon's Seat and drop off it perpendicular to the contour lines if i did it again, but nobody would bother to follow me i dare say! Don't go low into the col north of Hazelgill Knott or you'll get slowed down by loads of little gills. CP4 is the last water and you'll need some. If the weather is crap get a cag on at CP4 because the route is very exposed from then on and you'll more than likely be running into the wind. I'd also have at least 1 spare gel when you leave CP4 preferably 2, the drop off Winder is very close to bonking time if you're short of energy from having run into a headwind for 6 miles.

Do you (or does anyone) have Jon\s email address? Probably be a bit late to get a postal entry off now.

    Thanks

It's on the race page on the FRA website. I know he was taking postal entries up till tomorrow mornings post so unless you can get an entry to him tomorrow you've probably missed it. He's been very helpful to me.

Keep an eye out on the Castley Knotts ascent for the Buzzard especially if you are on your own
