Yep, at the col after the Knott he contoured right as per Caw race then cut up, brought him out in 3rd just behind Tom Addison.

Cracking race as usual, thanks Black Combe !

I'm running this on saturday, slow up/fast down, know a shortcut or two, best short race in the calendar i reckon. Who's in?

Probably my favourite race. I was brought up and went to school just a few miles away in Millom. Really looking forward to it!

It's in the Pennine champs again this year - should be a few of us there. I'll be taking a steady (slow) jog around the course with my daughter & her friend.

    .
I'm in too along with a few lads from the club. I didn't know there were any shortcuts to be had on this one. Are you going to share ?
Best short race? I'd say it's ONE of the best short races. There are a few others........
Wharfee ~ if you're there I'll give you the usual forced 'smile' for the camera.
Looking forward to a decent pint in the pub by the fire afterwards too

You've got to be anal enough to look for them! There's a hari kari drop off Stickle Pike and a clockwise route around a bog near Red Moss somewhere which i find faster. Looking forward to a pint too.

Yes I'll be gannin, managed to scrounge a lift. If the weather is owt like it looks on the forecast then I may end up with a pint beside that fire before the race starts.

Just a little warning after I went sliding face down today. After you have come off Raven Crag, crossed the flat bit and run down the path about 20m, there is a hidden hole about ankle deep in the middle of the path. It's muddy, so not a leg breaker. May be best to keep off the path just there.

If you don't know where I am talking about, it'll be the point with the slide marks just after
