Thread: drug taking in sport

What? You mean cycling is not completely clean now? I thought it was all that nasty Mr Armstrong bullying others into it.

I suggest dear, gentle and much misunderstood Lance be invited back into the sport...

...so he can bully riders out of using drugs.

    ,,,so he can bully

I watched 'Stop at nothing' on Netflix this week.

It hasn't improved my opinion of the man.

I saw a photo on the BBC website this week of two sportspeople involved in a major sporting event. They look 30 to 50% bigger and more muscly than their counterparts from yesteryear....just saying like

The trouble is wages, fame and rewarding success. If we did sport for the taking part it wouldn't encourage cheating. Just imagine, you'd get a letter through the post saying you'd been picked at random to represent UK in the olympics. You wouldn't need to train, and whoever won, it wouldn't matter - you'd all get a medal for taking part.

    Trouble with that Noel.

Is there'd be a very small chance I'd both have to compete, and represent my country of birth. Neither of which I want to happen.

But what a spectator sport it would be.

How about; those who take performance enhancing gear are handicapped and those that take performance un-enhancing stuff(pies, beer etc), get a head start?
