Another great Hobble & no rain or sleet at all despite the Met Office. Many thanks to Brett & the team. Many great performances, but mine wasn't one of them. Didn't spot Rachel, didn't spot anyone on crutches, didn't have anything in my legs after the Long Causeway. From there it was horrendous, & people were passing me the rest of the way. That'll teach me to cane it the weeekend before (Trollers Trot). Still, it's all good training for the Calderdale Hike, which is going to be a considerably tougher proposition. And that's good training for the Fellsman. And that's good training for the Apocalypse 100. The only way is up.

Good to chat with so many people & to get the 2015 Runfurther Champs off to a flying start.

This reminds me of that film 'Knowing' with Nicholas Cage in it. You sure you're feeling OK, Luke?

Thank you to Brett and his team of marshalls yesterday. Have been walking like John Wayne after a long day in the saddle today. 1st time I've been offered a beer & curry in a race..... was tempted (the last checkpoint just in case you're interested for next year). Good to natter with different people during the day.

The gooey jam donuts went down well, although I couldn't manage a full one - guess I'm just a lightweight.
This BG round & the training therein is dedicated to the fond memory of Daz H - there is no such word as can't.

Donuts were amazing Manhar, the marshalls let me leave the non jam bit which was good of them! Oh and the cakes at the end, wow. Thanks to Brett and all involved with organising such goodies and a great day.

Thanks also for the intro to Karen Brett, and thanks Karen for the into to Adnan.
