Hobble over for another year, have just been looking at previous years and times, have just found 2 finishers certificates from 1993 & 1994.They highlight the NEW route of 33 miles 4400 feet. Is this down to modern measuring devices? Where did that mile go? Where did the old route go? As for times, an hour slower than'93.

Why worry?

The Hobble is a bit of fun for a Saturday in March.

In 1990 (when in my mid 40s I did 5.05) it was also listed as 33 miles and 4400 feet and the winner came in on 4.01 ie 7 minutes faster than this year, so I rather doubt that a "mile" has gone missing in the meantime.
