I hope to be there if the legs have recovered sufficiently from Calderdale Hike. Come to think of it I'll be there anyway. The legs can just lump it.

this will hurt. Last short fell race was Hodder Valley way back in September! Here's hoping a winter running around parks and fields will lead to a good summer evening season!

Here is the link to some pics I took at the top of both climbs. The quality is not great as the light was starting to fade. The sunset was a spectacular finish to the day.

Incredible - he got to the top of the second climb just ahead of Tom Brunt and said "Which way do we go from here?" - he didn't even sound out of breath. Tom just managed to gasp "Follow the flags to the left".

Yes, a terrific turnout of U18 boys to spice things up and put the proverbial up the men, including a fine contingent from Buxton.
(Perhaps the club with the most double-barrel surnames in the Peak District?)
In hindsight the pre-planned prize list, based on past junior attendance numbers did not do the MU18 category justice.

I will be sending out Sports shop vouchers to 2nd MU18 (Liam Burtham - Liverpool), and 3rd MU18 (Lucas Parker - Pennine).
Looking forward to welcoming the U18 (Male and Female) runners again next year.

Thanks to you and the marshals from all 20 of us from Buxton - and thanks for offering the opportunity to the youngsters - we had 6 there and several more wanted to race but were otherwise committed - it's great to see such talent and enthusiasm on the hills
