only 3 ladies teams on the entry list? Am I reading that right?
    http://www.highpeakmarathon.org.uk/

I know of one ladies team not getting a place. shocking to have a measly 6% of entries attributed to ladies teams.

Aye, but that's what happens when its by favouritism or selection.

Proportion of females 21%, males 79% in the team list. Without knowing the proportions on the entry forms it is not fair to talk about favouritism. Perhaps women have more sense than men when choosing an event to enter?

Not strictly comparable, but the % of female members in the FRA is 20% (and 80% males for those who struggle with numbers).

Very valid point. % of W v M (individuals, rather than teams) sounds comparable to what I’ve seen for most other long fell races, particularly the tough events like this or OCT, Fellsman for e.g.

Nowadays I'm not sure that necessarily follows.

Roughly 16% of successful completions of the Bob Graham are female.
