My mantra of not going out too fast was in tatters thanks to the fast lads and lasses. 270+!! Well that makes my 100th place (or thereabouts) seem better as i was hoping to scrape into the top half.
I must have been with you at some point. 1.21 for me but ran past quite a few on those bloody fields. I could let the legs go where as I was a bit steady on the rock.
Not sure of my position 90ish?

I've not seen a field of such quality outside a champs race.

Thanks to Morgz and his team, we had another great day on such a superb race. 270+ runners in perfect conditions.
Wasnt there a lot of Dark Peakers too! 😉 club race?

High cup Nick....well it has to be said, you're one good looking bugger. On the return leg I couldn't help looking over my shoulder and being in awe of your rugged features. I wouldn't normally 'check out' masculine beauty but I couldn't help myself you big tease. It would've been far safer to stop running and simply stand there gawping, but that's not really racing etiquette.

Like Ian has already said, the large numbers of quality runners at today's race was very impressive. With Black Combe being only two weeks away I suppose today was a good gauge on how well ( or shit in my case ) winter training has gone for some. The usually suspects didn't disappoint, with Ricky, Tom, Rob, Carl and Karl all showing their ever present talent. Once again it looks like Vic is going to be the lady to beat, also great run from Lou.

Fantastic turn out from the lads and lasses of Wharfedale Harriers who were out in large numbers. The lads winning the team prize of beer...its gonna get messy tonight for the Wharfedaler's, they're all staying over celebrating Nic Charlesworth 50th birthday...god help em, thick heads in the morning?

Many thanks to Morgan and all his helpers. The soup and cakes were a treat.....yum!

1:22 for me (just) so i suspect you were just ahead all the way, no-one passed me on the way down and i made a few places up. I think this event id going to end up being a fixture - as Darren says, it is just beautiful

I've been bringing a car full for the last two years and they wrote an article for the club mag, that and me banging on about it having the best view of any race in England persuaded 3 or 4 cars up for the carshare league. (this is an unofficial club league. times of every one in the car divided by engine capacity.!!! some thing like that.)

I passed about 5 runners in the final fields and was going fast at that point.
