Does anyone know whether the closure of the snake and wood head pass could threaten the race?

"Bit of chat/ concern re weather forecasts at the moment. Looks like we're in for some snow at some point but how much/when is unpredictable. Show goes on until clearly not sensible. If roads are closed then we would have to change plans or cancel. Snake CP is in position from 3pm so this may be before any snow arrives but if it starts to fall heavily we will make a decision if safe to stay in position or leave before the roads become impassable. If this occurs before start then we will try and get message out via text/email/ facebook. If it occurs during event we will get message out to competitors as best we can via Checkpoints as well as text (carry a phone). In this situation everyone has to think if it is sensible to carry on and use their own reasonable judgement. It may be that a CP is abandoned before you get there. Remember you are in teams of 4 and expected to be able to look after yourselves and make your own way home (preferably via Edale!)"

"Looks like we're in trouble for HPM. The Snake Pass is closed and unlikely to reopen. We cannot ignore road closed signs so it will not be possible to run full course. Edale village is also getting very snowy but we will try and get there. What we will be able to put on in terms of an alternative route may be very limited. The winds are set to increase also, which is bad news. We will keep you updated, but it may you may not feel it worth a long journey.

Its 3 hours drive from mines and not sure my car will even make it there if the roads get really bad. I twisted my ankle at the weekend and was only going to run/hobble up to Moscar so I don't let my team down but looks like its not even worth it.
Yiannis if you still haven't got a team maybe you can take up my place and help me not making my injury worse
