Just remembered a young lad I passed just after Heptonstall. I was by no means moving well at that point but he looked about ready to drop. Anyway I trundled in from Heptonstall in 1hr40, then had time to stagger back to the b&b, have a half hour hot bath, get changed, walk back into the centre, and was sat outside the chippy when he came through. Must have taken 3 hours back from Heptonstall.

No matter how bad you feel, there's always someone worse off than yourself. Fair play to him for seeing it through.
