Steve, thanks for coming and taking some fab pictures of the first ascent and final descent.
I am loving the '100 ways to climb a stile in style' sequence.
Your camera settings seemed to work well - you seem to have beaten the dusk in the shots of the descent.

Sorry you missed the cake due to lack of change (you should have grabbed me - I had loads in my pocket)

    Mossie-Net donation on its way.

Mr mossienet I cannot believe the quality of your images given the light levels. Donation given and downloads made last night.

Barny, good to see you again (it'd been a long time ). You fair flew around that course after Calderdale last Saturday.

I uploaded my pictures last night. Now if I hold my camera very still I can get some almost focused images.

Spring is in the air. The first of the local dark peak district mid-week fell races coming up on Weds 20th April 7.30pm start.
Usual lung-busting brisk 3 mile AS: up, down, round, up again and down the Nab.
EOD Senior race also open to Juniors (14+) with parent/guardian signature on entry form.
Usual venue, refreshments, £3 VFM race entry, etc. More details on our club website:

Just done final pre-race recce tonight with an entourage of 25 club-mates. Nice and muddy, just as we like it.
Look forward to seeing the usual local crowd and those from further afield, on the night.
    SL, RO.

I think this little horror was the most painful experience I had last year.

Difficult to imagine that much pain, suffering and despair can be packed into a 3 mile course

    Looking forwad to it.

You too, Barny? How are the legs? Mine are better than after Calderdale on previous weekend but probably not up to racing level - still a bit lacking in power on the bike anyway.

It's going to be a glorious balmy evening for this little lung-and-leg-burner once again.

Legs are ok after a run to clear them out yesterday. This one normally comes before last weekend's exploits so will be interesting to see what effect it's had! See you there.

Here you go, some snaps from tonight's race. A beautiful night to be out on the hills.
