    Hills & Dales

I'm planning to plod round this 26 miler from Longnor the weekend after next. If anyone on the forum knows the route and could share it with me I'd be most grateful. I know I need OS map OL24, but apart from that and a few place names that mean absolutely nothing to me, I've not got a clue where I'm going and don't know the area at all. I like to be able to look at a map in advance and try to visualise the basic route so that at least when I get lost, I KNOW I'm lost!

I'm strongly considering walking this. So, if you pass a man along the way with a husky dog, say 'Hi' to Joe and Troy!

    Will do!
However, after nearly 4 months out with injury, the idea of passing anyone seems implausible. I'll probably spend a substantial amount of time walking too.
Will I recognise you from your avatar?!

Scratch that. I've been told we're having a family outing that day.

I did this event several years ago and it was rather undersubscribed back then considering the amount of trouble the organisers had gone to. I was actually the second runner back, which is just ridiculous.
Hopefully it is better attended these days.
They'd put quite a spread on at some of the checkpoints, with all sorts of goodies to eat. I felt it was a shame I was running it, as I just didn't want to scoff a load of sausage rolls and cakes.

Have a good run. Please let me know what the event is like nowadays.
