Mmmm, whilst I think Grisedale is the better race, the Ben offers a cracking weekend ~ prestigious race, good camping facilities, good beer and banter in Fort William. Maybe next year...........

Entries have closed. MrRTS is keeping his fingers crossed :-) part of his 50th Birthday celebrations if he gets in. He was entered by five past 12 on Sunday

IIRC, the Grisedale Horseshoe was inaugurated by some Achille Ratti members as an "antidote" to the Ben race (same distance and ascent figures and always the same date ) back in the day when the vast majority of races were £3 or £4 to enter and the Ben had crept up to £8.
