    Sunday! Weather forecast looks autumnal.
Some fair fell runners on the classic startlist, some fair orienteers as well!
The 'seeding' on the start list appears fairly random! (is this intended? one of the perils of people from 2 different sports and many areas across the country entering a trial event!)

Do they do seeding? I think it only goes on request - mine being that I was first starter to have the best chance of not being timed out. (But my daughter's early start being because she has to get a train from Penrith soon after 2pm!)

I don't think there is any seeding. When you enter you select your preferred start time - early, late etc. After that I presume it's random.

There used to be some rough seeding - basically the fastest runners off later - but that doesn't seem to have been the case for the last few years.

must have missed the 'select start time box' - as will have a few better runners as well by the looks of things. I predict a strong Club house lead for Doug Tullie!

You are correct Bill. When I was entries secretary I used to pick out about 10-15 bodies who i thought might be competitive and separated them by about five minutes across the start window. i then looked for the golden oldies who probably needed an early start and put them in and after that it was just random.

Any thoughts on the weather forecast on Sunday - looks "interesting", particularly the high winds!?
