Far better that, than the shower of shit that are desperately trying to keep us in the EU both in Westminster and Brussels.
Hopefully we will leave with no deal rather than the half in half out position that Mrs May has caved in to.
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

I no longer trust anything May says but surely in this case exiting without a deal is the default position. The Article 50 notice was given in March 2017 so if the deal is voted down by Parliament the UK would exit the EU next March without one - in the absence of anything else happening.

In reality I expect firstly, the Government to try again. If that fails some people think the Government would try to join the EEA. Others hope they would go back to Brussels and request a delay to Article 50. It is far from certain that the EU would agree to this but I guess they might if there was a second referendum.

Mmmh. Perhaps any new referendum could have a second question:

And do you believe the world was created in 4004 BC?

More evidence that it is true has appeared recently - Emmanuel Macron has let the cat out of the bag. He says that the EU will not let the UK leave the "backstop" customs union unless it agrees to allowing EU fisherman full access to British waters.

But surely the "backstop" is only there to prevent there being a hard border in Ireland?

The Irish backstop has been created by the EU as a device to cling on to Britain and prevent it from signing its own trade deals. The hard border issue is just a pretext.

I would guess at some can kicking although anything can happen. Parliament doesn’t seem to have a majority that believes in Brexit. So they’ll be torn between being democrats and not wanting to take the blame. Both with a view to electability to varying degrees of moral standards.

The constant undermining of the leave vote by some remainers is emboldening our enemies. It's no coincidence that Russian aggression, demands by France and Spain coincided with stages in May's weakness. Her lack of courage and capitulation could start a war.

On a positive note 'Thank you Donald' is telling us to reject May's deal and that we can make a clean break and if we do he'll be a friend. That should give us strength

Graham am I right in saying that your heart lies with European countries like France and Spain? That you loath the UK and USA? It's just that being a big cycling fan you've always opposed successful cycling teams like US Postal and Team Sky. And it wasn't because they were cheating as you've quite openly expressed your love of cyclists like Pantani and Contador. And that was after you knew they were cheating.

I find this rabid hatred hard to understand.
    I would ...

    Oh what's the point.

He doesn't get to the root of the issue though Mike T. The European Union's goal is to make it's poorer members richer by making us poorer. It's an extension of the welfare state. But the scam is some richer people in the UK have been given an opt out from this sacrificial furnace, which is why they support it.
