Vince, Jeremy and Nigel have also written to me personally ( I know it was personal because they all used my Sunday name - Christopher), somewhat disappointed that the others haven't done so ...yet!

As with the last Euro elections, voting for pro-EU or anti-EU parties doesn't have anywhere as near as much impact as voting for them in a general election. National policy towards the EU is driven by national government.

Really!? It was Fiona Bruce who started talking over Nigel Farage not once but twice.

I think this is where the real battleground is now. It's sounding increasingly like there might be some sort of confirmatory referendum. And it depends on how this is set up and what questions are asked.

If it's yes/no again, we might vote to remain. But if it's to confirm a deal that both Labour and Conservatives support, they might go with: remain, go with our deal, leave with no deal.

That would seem to be a way to divide the remainers and the leavers into those who are prepared to support whatever deal is agreed.

Or will the conservatives swallow their pride and vote for the current deal at the forth time of asking rather than have Labour dictate government policy?

There won’t be a deal Noel. There’s nothing in it for May or Corbyn

I was intrigued to hear Nigel Farage say to Andrew Marr he has no real interest in being PM. Once he’s torn up the old political situation what is is going to do? And if doesn’t want the head boy’s job then who’s he proposing for it? He’s the OGS of politics

Labour are starting to tank now as well in the polls.

A bit like sinn fein and loads of other hard left independents in the Irish parliment, they are great at sayng "no" and critising the hard decision the minority govement is having to make after the bailout but are seriously lacking in concrete realistic proposals themselves.
