8 years ago - mid-winter's day 2011 - a top runner failed to get round the BG but two members of Cockermouth MRT managed sub 24 hours in full winter mountaineering / walking kit. It was full-on winter conditions with arm-pit deep snow on the tops around Wasdale. A case of horses for courses.

If it's a Saturday kick-off, he might miss the very worst by starting in the West - the amber weather warning is more focussed along the spine of the country.
